Sayama Forrest is one of the most remarkable urban forests (approximately 8750 acres) in Japan located right outside of Tokyo. This forest is said to be where the idea for the masterpiece “My Neighbor Totoro” originated from. With Japan’s rapid urban development in the 70’s and 80’s, the forest has been losing its land. In 1990, the director of My Neighbor Totoro, Hayao Miyazaki helped set up the national trust, Totoro no Furusato Fund to preserve the environment in the park.

Thai no seiji wa… October 9, 2008

Quote from Prachathai (sorry, it’s in Thai language). I like it. It’s true indeed:

Now Thai politic reachs its hard time again. Now I’m tired everytime when I open TV and listen something; there’re almost all bad news, argument, violence accident. However, I can’t take my eyes out of it. This’s my home, and we all have to think about solutions and do it, all of us.

Arrr, ok, let’s blog something not so serious. Now I have a good time in learning Japanese language. I know more words, kenji and some form, “must” “please” “allow to” “can” “have ever” “I think (express opinion)” etc. Very Happy learning these things, it’s very hard too (I study 4 hour per day, 6 day per week, exclude practising). Anyway, now I sometime can say some easy sentences in Japan without thinking :D and that’s such a great feeling.

And sorry for my today English again, because it’s long time since writing something in English. I’ve forgotten many grammars and forms because of studying Japanese, not joking.

See you! Mata aimashoo!

Finally, I receive e-mail from Associate Professor Masanori Sugimoto who I requested for joining his lab today, and he said he would send a formal letter of acceptance to my address to confirm the acception with the Japan Embassy in Thailand. Geronimo!! I have laboratory to study in my Master Degree now!!! To tell you, his HCI laboratory works are very great, you can find it at http://www.itl.k.u-tokyo.ac.jp/projects.html. One in these projects was submitted in ACM SIGGRAPH’07, the international conference about computer graphic and interactive, which is the conference I want to submit my work the most. I’m gonna work hard from now!!!!

As I said before in previous post, I’m now in my busiest week. I’ve just finished sending my project proposal today. About Japanese test yesterday, I quite sure that I’ll pass it, so I’m gonna study seriously in advance Japanese language next month. Also, today is my first day I’ve ever taken a photo by DSLR camera (borrowed one from my friend). I have to send assignment report of it by friday. So I’m now studying hard how to use this kind of camera and photography techniques. This is my examples of photos I’ve taken today.

Hi! I’m now in very important process of Monbusho scholarship, getting Japanese advisor’s “Letter of Acceptances”. Since I don’t have any experience in HCI system development before and my senior project topic ,which is related with HCI and should be the most important thing in my introduction letter, hasn’t been decided yet, It’s very hard to write introduction letter and hope that the advisor who don’t know anything about you will accept you that easily. However, I must try first.

I plan to write about methods and my experience in applying this scholarship too, but I’m begin to busy now. I have to finish about 3 reports from Personal Finance, Photo Science and Data Mining subjects by the second week of September, and this isn’t include my senior project proposal yet T-T. So I will write about it later when I have free times, maybe in October.

Today (ah, acually yesterday, August 23) is my father birthday. I wish he has a good health, since he’s worked in Japanese company for a very long time (at least 30 year) and as you may know, most of Japanese people is workaholic. If I could pray one thing for him, I’ll pray him a long-peaceful life. Happy Birthday my father :)

O-Tanjoobi Omedetoo Goseimasu!!

PS. Sorry for my English today, I’m very sleepy now and didn’t check my post. You can comment any mistake. (and you SHOULD!! for my better English ya know :D )

PS2. Oh, I’ve accidentally seen Japanese movie “Hula girl” today. It’s such a fantastic movie! Nearly make me cry for twice times!!! :P

Hi everyone! Welcome to my new blog.

I’m monbushoboy, 21 from Thailand. I’m currently candidate of Monbukagakusho scholarship, Research student category. Though everything is in processing, I expect to arrive in Japan in April 2009. My university study is all about IT, computer science and hardware technology, and I also dedicate my life to games, movies, manga and Japan foods. The name of this blog comes from my friend, who often tease me by calling me as “Monbusho boy”.

That’s all about me! Nice to meet you. Hope you’ll visit here again!

Dozo Yoroshiku Onegaishimasu!!!
